Noic Garioud and Titouan Puyo fly over the events

On the long distance run, the French left their mark. First place for Noic Garioud in 1 hour and 39 minutes, followed very closely by Titouan Puyo et Arutkin. For the organizers, this event will be remembered for a “dream downwind right in the direction of the wind”.

“The riders bumped and surfed for more than 20 kilometers! "

And if Titouan Puyo came second in the long distance, he managed to win in Technical Race, this time ahead of Noic Garioud. In foil, it's another Titouan, Titan Galea which takes the first place on the podium. In women, the Technical Race is won by Fanny Tessier who broke the news with great modesty on Instagram.

A fifth edition full of surprises!

Races, wingfoil and SNSM helicopter winching demonstrations, sliding village, environmental awareness… The program for these two days was already intense, yet the organizers decided to open a race to the general public. This is how it was organized the Race for the Ocean, a great novelty of the Vendée Gliss Event 2020. This 7-kilometer race, open to all, allowed amateurs to row alongside professionals. The talented Vendée skipper Benjamin Dutreux agreed to be the sponsor of the event and he even lent himself to the exercise by competing for the first time in a SUP race. This committed event ended with a human chain inscribing the words “ocean respect” on the beach, thanks to the many participants.
