You may also be surprised at the bend of a path by meeting or discovering a picturesque village, a small heritage or a stream whose banks will welcome you for a picnic. or a swim.

  • Loop of the barn (5 km / 1h40 approximately). The dam creates a beautiful water reservoir connected to the river by a "fish ladder". 
  • Circuit of the mills (16 km / 4h20 approximately). A colorful course that alternates riverside, rolling meadows, very dense undergrowth and plateaus offering panoramic views.
  • Napoleon circuit (18 km / 4h30 approximately). This Napoleon trail takes its name from the fact that it follows a road marked out by the emperor's soldiers for a few kilometers, straight as usual.
  • Red wheat circuit (16 km / 4h20 approximately). Without major difficulties, this path takes its name from the corn fields (bla rou dzè in Occitan) which border it.
  • Plateau du guet circuit (Approximately 12 km / 3h). The Isle valley at the start and finish and in the meantime the plateau with its panoramic views from the heights of Jumilhac.
  • Bridges loop circuit (About 5 km / 2h00). 
  • Circuit around the town (10km). This loop allows you to go around the village and will make you discover the multiple bucolic landscapes of our beautiful town. You will discover the Isle valley, the high plateau of Villesange dominating the castle, the micro power plant and the forests and other chestnut coppices.
  • Great loop circuit (42km). This large loop, rather reserved for riders and mountain bikers, borrows part of all the hiking trails of the town.

Le camping The Chatonnière is ideally located on the Isle, a river that will surprise you with its rich fish culture and its diverse and varied landscapes.

You can fish for trout as accompanying fish (minnow, gudgeon). Some areas are transitional spaces rich in fairly large trout, and teeming with whitewater fish such as the very combative barbel or the vandoise, hidden in the many buttercup beds. Some may also face very large pike and a multitude of pikeperch or "sting" the largest freshwater fish, the frequent catfish and sometimes very large. Carp are also present and catches of 15 to more than 20 kg are frequent.

L'Isle is classified 2nd category. For all these qualities, the camping is labeled “Fishing accommodation” by the National Fishing Federation.
