One kilometer from camping, the cycle route from Bayonne to Perpignan passes below the village. The diversity of landscapes, between wetlands and rivers will delight nature lovers and cyclists. Please note that some sections are not yet secure. Heading east, on the Urt-Bidache-Came section, the V81 coincides with the Scandibérique EV3.
Count 5 hours of effort for this beautiful route of 48 kilometers. You will alternate between bucolic landscapes and cultural heritage. Through the Pyrenean foothills, the Bidouze will serve as your guide. From the river ports to the towpaths, from the Bidache bridges to the Bearn castles, nature and culture mingle in a truly beautiful itinerary!
The Scandibérique linking Norway to Santiago de Compostela passes one kilometer from the camping to the northeast. On the edge of Adour, it crosses many towns in the Landes such as Dax or Mont-de-Marsan. Try the adventure on the route from Urt to Saint-Palais. Over approximately 57 kilometres, it alternates walks along the banks of rivers and picturesque perched villages.
You will find one kilometer from the camping towards Bayonne the cycle path which runs along the Adour river on the right bank.

Several short hike circuits are accessible from the exit of the camping. Do not hesitate to ask for more information at the reception of the Camping Etche Zahar.
This pretty 5 kilometer hike is accessible to all. After discovering the old fishing port of Urt, you will discover the Ardanavy river, a tributary of the Adour and its barthes. You will cross floodplain woods of great biodiversity. Egrets, otters and turtles may be there...
Short, very easy and doable with the family, this walk from Bardos will offer you a breathtaking panorama. Between ridges and forests, you will enjoy an unobstructed view of the Pyrenean chain.
Entirely laid out on an old towpath, this fun walk will introduce you to the different species of the region, fishing or barthes. Look up, you will certainly have the chance to see a stork!
For a good overview of the GR 8 in the region, experienced hikers can set off on the route from Urt to Cambo-les-Bains. 41 kilometers for nearly 900 meters of elevation gain... This section will take you from the banks of the Adour to those of the Nive. From wetlands to panoramas of the Basque mountains... Your efforts will be rewarded!
